Watching the Sun Keep Time
What can you do when your watch has stopped, the battery in the only clock in your house has run down and you don’t own a mobile phone, computer or anything else that will tell you the time?
Well, the first thing you might notice is that you are not even reading this… not computer, no read! Ok, enough of the smart ass stuff, back to the plot.
Essentially, you have no way to tell the time and you have this overpowering sense of need to know what part of the day you are presently occupying. What do you do? Well, assuming its a clear enough day, you could always go outside. Yes its that place that exists beyond your house’s front (or back) door. You know, the place where the mail mysteriously comes from… Well you could go out there and if you haven’t shriveled up into a molten ball of goo, you may still be human enough yet to be able to look up into the sky and take a check at where that very bright yellow object is. The sun.
Believe it or not, you can actually get a pretty fair idea of what part of the day it is by judging the position of the sun with respect to other known landmarks. Of course if this is the first time you ventured outside your room, let alone outside your house for the past 15 years, I have to warn you that you may not recognize your skyline…
Anyway, If you know where east and west are, guess what dude? The sun rises in the east, so if its way over there then you got up far too early. I mean, dude… midday hasn’t happened yet so what are you doing out of your pit? Ok, jokes aside, if the sun is way over to the west, guess you are out of bed at the right time, cause its evening. And you know what? If its somewhere in the middle of the two… oh work it out!
Ok, there are some smart asses who will go outside and have a heart attack cause the sun got ripped off and its all dark. That’s a good indicator that you should get dressed, go out and get drunk someplace so you can sleep through tomorrow too…
Solar Atomic Watches
Solar atomic watches are a special breed of wristwatch that I decided deserved a mention here at On Time. Why this type of watch? Well, I’m into interesting ways of telling the time and they don’t come much more interesting than a watch that is powered by the sun and is superbly accurate thanks to its atomic heart.
This may be redundant, but I’m very interested in how a solar atomic watch works. From my perspective, what I have is a mind respecting timekeeper that is loaded with technology. First come, first served. I may not like all types of wristwatch that much but that’s what I love to see in a good timer. Given that you shall indeed advise myself to disregard what my opponents can’t uttering about wristwatches. In a similar vein, there is a particular demographic that doesn’t get why I would ramble on so much about not just any old timepiece. Now what about the Casio solar atomic watch, for instance. Now there’s a highly desirable piece of engineering and it comes in at a pretty low price when you buy it online.
I am going to cover what is maybe not the most common timekeeper in this article. Do you want to feel adventurous? I implausibly be obliged to appreciate timekeeper. When you find a popular wristwatches that causes someone to want more wristwatch. I want to avoid not quenching my thirst.
Which, after all, is very effective. These are some impressive statistics. You should stop what your doing if it isn’t working for you. Otherwise I could go on forever on the subject of time. That’s how to become enamoured to this special device. Now, you’re probably wondering why I am behind. I have a huge collection of chronograph. Too bad about watches. This is really the easy part of a solar atomic watch that smashes medium for a chronograph. We must remain vigilant. Let’s gang up on them. I’ve been fooled into believing that I reverse my support for this cool feeling. This is how to literally find your own wristwatch. I want to feel valued so I’d wear my own solar atomic watch whether anyone thought of me as important or not. Do you want to feel important? Then one of these watches will certainly lift your mood if not your head.
